Book Launches "Unlocking Little Whispers" & "Turning Point"
Carol-Ann is a multi disciplinary artist, an internationally acclaimed author, writing coach, inspirational speaker, and a pod-caster. Her writing boasts an eclectic genre of self-help books, collections of inspirational short-stories, youth adventure series, essays, memoirs and contemporary fiction. Currently she is working on a youth genre adventure series – a mix of morally based sci-fi drama and adventure. Her stories are entertaining but often with a purpose to awaken the soul and inspire. She was diagnosed with advanced stages of colon cancer in early 2018 and liver cancer in 2021.
She has published 6 books beginning with two self-care novels based on a Christian devotional book series. She has also published a short story collection series, with two of the books being launched in June 2026. The stories in the collection take readers on adventures across the globe including across Canada, Europe and the United States. Stories are heartwarming with themes of drama, suspense, mystery, and romance. Messages always include courage, hope in the face of diversity.

In addition to being author she is also an artist. Her love of nature is celebrated in her artwork found in landscapes, and wildlife. Traditionally trained in charcoal and watercolour she has explored the world of pastel and has embraced it thoroughly. While her stories boast authentic life experiences they are interwoven in the subjects of her artwork. Her artwork inspires her stories. Having a background in journalism, her original artwork is based on her personal photographic moments which she has captured for those lived experiences.
Carol-Ann shares her life experiences, true stories of what she’s observed. A common theme in her writing is the emotional depth of everyday life experiences. Where stories meet adventures. Carol-Ann was nominated for a 2024 MARTY Award (Canadian literary artist award) and moved up to the finalist level for Emerging Literary Artist. Over the years she has been short-listed in several Canadian creative fiction contests across Canada. She has been published in a literary magazine in 2023, and internationally acclaimed for her creative non-fiction works.
Carol-Ann is internationally acclaimed by her non-fiction academic publications, she is keenly focused on literary fiction and artwork.
She has been published internationally as a sole author for numerous chapters in global university based research handbooks and peer-reviewed scholar articles. She has co-authored a number of articles with other doctors.
She has attended numerous conferences worldwide over the last 8 years to mobilize her scientific and ethnographic research.
Recently she has become an editor and published two volumes of a university-based research handbook which has been indexed by Psychology information.
In 2022, Carol-Ann's ethnographic scientific research was published in two volumes for an International Handbook of Research on Literacy. Her research is now indexed by Psychology Information (see her Book page for more info). In 2021, Carol-Ann was chosen to be the editor.

During 2013-2015, with other doctors she was invited to conduct a Canadian study about the moral ethics of biotechnology among elementary and secondary pre-service teachers in conjunction with a university in Spain.

She has lectured internationally, taught at Canadian universities in undergraduate and post-graduate settings. Carol-Ann earned a Doctor of Philosophy in 2018 from University of Western Ontario. Her research is about cognitive brain development through video game-based learning. Carol-Ann is a former elementary and secondary school teacher with an Ontario school board for over seven years. An inquisitive nature influenced her career choices including finance, management, law, technology, analytical engineering, journalism, teaching, and even a novitiate.
